Welcome to My Journey

I am Hasitha Rodrigo. I am someone who chases wealth, fully aware that it is not the ultimate goal, but believing that this journey will lead me to discover what I truly want in life. Yes, I am a little paradox—a blend of ambition and introspection, seeking both material success and something deeper, something more meaningful.

I was born and raised on the beautiful tropical island of Sri Lanka, but today, I call the UK home. I moved to the UK in 2008 to pursue my higher studies, and since then, the UK has become my reality, while Sri Lanka remains my cherished dream.

​

My career began humbly in 2008, working at a fast-food restaurant in the UK. I put in the hard work: unloading deliveries, cleaning, preparing food, and tackling everything else that came with running the restaurant. As I write this in October 2024, I reflect on how it has been 8 years since I strategically founded my holding company—a company that now manages a portfolio of mindful, purposeful brands across both the UK and Sri Lanka. My holding company primarily focuses on the energy, education, and finance sectors.

The reason I write here is to introduce myself—to others, and perhaps even to myself. The calmness I feel while writing helps me bring my deeper thoughts into words—something I struggle to do while speaking. Many of my readers are clients, investors, and business partners, and I find that sharing my story makes it easier for them to decide whether they want to work with me.

​

I realise that I may seem contradictory at times. On one side, I talk passionately about financial and material goals; on the other, I emphasise the importance of simplicity and intentional living. I discuss striving to be a good person, yet I’m open about being prosecuted and having faced arrest. These parts of my story might seem irreconcilable—so who am I really? What value do I provide? What are my experiences?

In this blog, I share my genuine perspective on every aspect of my life, with as much honesty as I can. I will tell you why I turned down opportunities to make hundreds of millions of pounds, even when I was struggling to afford a decent meal, and how it felt to have nothing, only to eventually live the life I had always dreamed of. I’ll share why I chose to avoid conflicts with those out of my league, while also standing up and fighting against some of the most powerful people and authorities for what I believe in and deserve. This is my manifesto.

This blog will continue to evolve, just as my journey has—from working in a fast-food restaurant to the day my holding company finds a place on the stock market, and onwards to my ultimate goal: finding “inner peace,” where I can simply close my eyes and feel nothing but complete lightness.

 

I’ll also be including a series called Criminal Minds, where I document intellectual properties related to crimes in the UK, explore why crime and money are so often intertwined, and discuss how to avoid becoming a victim. This content stems from my "dopamine strategy research," which began years ago as a project to develop a simulation exploring the relationship between economics and epigenetics. My goal was to monetise these findings, and now I hope to share some insights here. I believe they will be valuable for anyone wanting to succeed while remaining genuinely committed to being a good person.

Beyond my entrepreneurial pursuits, I love books—they lifted me out of depression and changed my life. I’m also a huge fan of combat sports and practise mindfulness regularly. If you follow my journey here (and on social media), you'll often see Champ and Junior, my beloved dogs. My senior dog, Conan, passed away a few weeks ago, leaving me in a very lonely place. Champ, Junior, and Conan have been part of my family—they brought and continue to bring joy to my everyday life. My next article will probably be about Conan.
